Brief History

Since setting up in 1989 as the Alumni Affairs Office, the NUS Alumni Office has evolved through the years. However, it has remained focused on its goals of engaging you, our alumni, and in connecting you with your alma mater and with your fellow alumni across the world.

Set up to develop and foster relationships with our alumni

Alumni Affairs and Development Office (AADO), 1991-Oct 2000

	Included the development (fundraising) function
	Universities Endowment Fund (NUS and NTU) jointly raised $55 million (1991-1996)
	NUS Endowment Fund raised $50 million (1997-2000)

Office of Alumni and Community Relations (ACR), Nov 2000-2002

	Building up on AADO's work and refocussing priorities
	Included OUR's Local Liaison Section

Office of Alumni Relations (OAR), 2003-present
