NUS India Alumni Chapter News

At the initiative of the NUS India Alumni Chapter, a media conference was held at the Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi, on 21 October 2003. The conference was sponsored by Contact Singapore and supported by the Singapore High Commission in New Delhi.

In view of the advanced stage of discussions between India and Singapore in respect of the Comprehensive Economic Co-operation Agreement, the objectives of the media conference were to:

• Enhance awareness of the NUS India Alumni Chapter as well as NUS initiatives
  
• Highlight initiatives taken to reach out to Indian talent and young Indian entrepreneurs by the NUS India Alumni Chapter
  
• Create awareness of the new Entrepass scheme being introduced by the Singapore Government through Contact Singapore

The Singapore High Commissioner to India HE Mr See Chak Mun, Contact Singapore Centre Director Mr P Kandhavel and NUS India Alumni Chapter Chairman Mr Brahm Majithia, all of whom are NUS alumni, briefed the media and answered questions.
