A Fabulous Reunion - Medical Class of ’57-’63

The 40th anniversary of the medical class of ’57 - ’63, University of Singapore was a grand occasion for 41 former classmates and their families. The party was held at the Marina Mandarin Hotel in August. Some of the guests even turned up with children and grandchildren in tow!

As some classmates observed, every reunion becomes more precious and enjoyable. For this group of medical alumni, this was the eighth time that they had gathered together to renew old ties. As a testament to the four decades of strong bonds that exist between them, alumni even came from England, Australia, as well as East and West Malaysia. Emotions were strong that evening, ranging from sadness at the absence of some old friends, to exuberance at meeting familiar faces again.

After a rousing singalong, the evening ended with many affectionate farewells, with tears clouding many an eye, and promises made to meet again in Perth, Australia in 2005.
