Alumni Mentors

Ever wished that you could have spoken to someone in a field you were interested in when you were an undergraduate? Here is a chance for you to be a mentor to students in your alma mater.

We are looking for mentors from various sectors and industries to assist our students in their career choice. As an alumnus mentor, you will be listed on our website for alumni mentors in the NUS Intranet - only staff and students of the University will have access to the information. The listing will include your e-mail address, designation/main responsibilities and the name of the organisation you work in. Interested students will then e-mail you directly.

If you wish, you can also link your organisation's website to our website to facilitate applications and/or enquiries for graduate/part-time/vacation employment. As students will be given unrestricted access to our services online, they will be able to respond promptly to immediate vacancies.

Alumni entrepreneurs, step forth to mentor startup businesses! The NUS Business Incubator (NBI) is inviting alumni who have successfully grown their companies from a startup to a profitable business to mentor new startup companies.

As mentors, you will share your experience with new businesses and provide guidance to budding technopreneurs. You will be introduced to a startup company in your area of business or technical expertise and if both parties are comfortable with the arrangement, you will be assigned to the startup company as the mentor.

NBI supports the commercialisation of promising innovative technologies and inventions at NUS. It taps on various resources and strengths of the University to provide a conducive environment for academic and entrepreneurial activities.

Working closely with NBI is the NUS Business School Alumni Association (NUSBSA) and NUS Entrepreneurship Centre, organisers of the 4th Start-Up@Singapore national business plan competition (www.startup.org.sg) that kicked off on 29 November 2002. The winning teams from the competition will be incubated at NBI and mentored by the business school alumni.
