Overview Assoc Prof Teo Choo Soo, Director of OAR, first visited the Vancouver chapter on 11 March 2002. Arthur Yap, the key alumni contact in British Columbia, and fellow alumni gave Prof Teo and his wife a warm welcome at a dinner party. Many NUS alumni living in British Columbia, Canada hold good jobs and senior positions in various major Canadian corporations such as Telus and Teck-Cominco Mines. Some are lecturers and professors in institutions of higher learning, such as Simon Fraser University, University of British Columbia and Kwantlen College. Some are doctors, dentists and accountants. In Nov 2003, Professor Shih Choon Fong, President of NUS also met up with the alumni chapter in Vancouver.
